Si tienes que recuperar Windows 7 en tu laptop/netbook y no tienes una unidad de DVD, te dejo luego del salto una forma comprobada de cómo generar un pendrive USB de recuperación de sistema, que te permitirá reescribir la MRB en caso de que, por ejemplo, hayas querido instalar Linux y luego te hayas arrepentido borrando las particiones.
If you need to recovery Windows 7 in your laptop/netbook but this one doesn't have a DVD reader, I leave here a tested procedure to generate a Win 7 recovery USB pendrive that will allow you to re-write the MRB (Master Boot Record) in the case that, for example, you've just regret from your Linux installation and deleted the partitions damaging the MRB.
El proceso es bastante simple. La idea es crear un DVD de recuperación en tu PC de escritorio, o bajar de internet una imagen .ISO de un DVD de recuperación (estoy seguro que lo encuentras fácilemente), luego formatear adecuadamente el pendrive, y finalmente copiar los archivos del disco DVD al pendrive.
The process is quite simple. You need to create a recovery DVD in your desktop PC, or download a recovery DVD in .ISO format from internet (I'm sure you can find one), format de USB pendrive properly, and then copy de files from the DVD to the pendrive.
Para crear el DVD en tu PC corriendo Win7, tienes que ir al Panel de Control, hacer click en Sistema y Seguridad (puede que la traducción del link no sea exacta, tengo Win7 en inglés instalado), y luego darle a Backup y Recuperación. En el panel de la izquierda debería aparecer una opción de Crear disco de recuperación, o algo así, y haciendo click ahí ya podemos proceder a crear el disco, ya sea quemando un DVD real, o generando una imagen ISO usando una unidad virtual de DVD (con algún software tipo DAEMON o ULTRAISO).
To create the DVD in your desktop PC running Win7 you go to the Control Panel, click System and Security (System and Security), and then click Backup and Restore (Backup and Restore). In the left panel, click Create a system recovery disk (Create a system recovery disc) and then either you use a real DVD or you write in a virtual DVD drive (you can use software like DAEMON or ULTRAISO to create a virtual DVD drive).
Ahora toca formater adecuadamente la memoria USB. Para ello, vamos a seguir los siguientes pasos uno a uno, escribiendo los comandos y dando enter. Asegurense de tener la memoria conectada, por supuesto!
Then we need to format properly the memory stick. To do that, you just follow the next steps (writing the commands and giving enter), after pluging the stick, of course!
1) open the command line (Start/Run/cmd)
2) diskpart
3) list disk <-- identify which drive is assigned to your pendrive/stick5) select disk X <-- where X will be the number of the pendrive
6) create partition primary <-- this will create a new partition
7) active <-- this will set the partition as active
8) format fs=fat32 quick <-- this will format the drive
9) assign <-- this will assign a letter to the memory stick
10) exit
11) exit
Finalmente, solo queda copiar el contenido del DVD de recuperación creado anteriormente a la memoria USB y reiniciar la laptop/notebook/netbook con la memoria conectada. Si la laptop no lee la memoria al arranque, tal vez debas entrar en el menú de configuración de la laptop (normalmente apretando F2 o DEL durante el arranque) y configurarla para que el booteo se haga desde la memoria USB (si no la tienes conectada, es probable que el sistema no la "vea" y no te deje selecionarla como opción de booteo).
Finally, you just need to copy all the files from the recovery DVD previously created to the USB memory stick, reboot the laptop/notebook/netbook with the memory plugged and the Windows recovery menu will launch. If the laptop/notebook/netbook is not reading the stick, maybe you need to access the setup menu at the boot (normally pressing F2 or DEL buttons during the boot sequence) and configure the boot sequence to boot initially from the memory stick (if the stick is not plugged, it can be that the system doesn't give you the option of booting from the USB drive).
Una vez que hayas podido bootear desde la memoria USB, deberías poder ver la siguiente pantalla:

Una vez allí, prueba las diferentes opciones. Si el problema está relacionado con la MBR (normalmente se jode al jugar con las particiones durante instalaciones de Linux), lo mejor será que vayas al "Command prompt" y corras los siguientes comandos:
At that picture just try the different options. If the problem is related to the MBR (normally this get screwed when playing with the partitions when installing Linux), you'd better go to the "Command prompt" option and run the following commands:
FIXBOOT
FIXMRB
y voilà!... si no habías destrozado la partición de windows previamente, ahora debería correr.
and voilà!... if you haven't blown up your windows partition before, now it should run!
