Differences in the prices of the Seat Ateca (as example) in Europe

UPDATE 29/06/2016: I've checked the topic  and the 4000€ promotion in Spain are coming from the "Plan PIVE", which is a program from the spanish government to incentivate the sell of "greener" cars. A part of those 4000€ are coming from the government, another part from the manufacturer.

 

I was playing the other day with the SEAT configurator for the new Seat Ateca in the austrian website of seat (www.seat.at) and I got curious to see how big could the price difference be in comparison to the same car, for instance, in Spain (www.seat.es), Germany or Italy.

Of course the NOVA makes already a difference, but in this case the basis price (listenpreis, precio de lista) is not so big. However, there is a 4000€ launch promotion in Spain for the Ateca, that has so far not appeared in Austria (or Germany, for instance).

It would be nice to know why... why the same car, equal configuration, can be promoted with 4000€ in Spain, and not in the whole Europe (apart of the fact that the same car has different basis price in the same country, but this is most likely related to the internal taxes, like the NoVA, that I'm not much into the details).

What is definitely not fair (in this case from Seat as a company) is such a huge promotion for Spain, but not for other countries (I've checked Austria, Germany and Italy, and in none of them the Ateca is promoted).

Ich habe mit dem Seat Configurator von Seat Österreich (www.seat.at) gespielt, um den neue Seat Ateca zu configurieren, und ich war auch neugierig zu wissen, was könntet dasselbe Auto in, z.B., Spanien (www.seat.es) kosten.

Natürlich macht die NoVA in Österreich den Unterschied zwischen Listenpreise, allerdings war dieser Unterschied in diesem Fall nicht so groß. Trotzdem, gibt es jetzt in Spanien 4000€ Rabatt, der bisher nicht in Österreich gibt (oder in Deutschland).

Es wäre gut zu wissen warum... Warum dasselbe Auto, gleiche Konfiguration, kann in Spanien 4000€ Rabatt haben und keine in Deutschland, Österreich oder Italien (ich habe die 4 Konfigurators ausprobiert).

Estaba jugando el otro día con el configurador de Seat en Austria (www.seat.at) y se me dió por configurar el nuevo Seat Ateca y comparar el precio final para la misma configuración con su equivalente en Espana.

Incluso sabiendo de antemao que podría haber una gran diferencia debido al NoVA austríaco (ese impuesto del que ya he hablado en el blog), la verdad que la diferencia no es tan grande en el precio de lista. Sin embargo, hay 4000€ de promocion en Espana que no existen en Austria. De hecho, el precio de lista del coche es bastante similar entre Espana, Austria, Alemania e Italia (los países donde he probado), con deltas de 1000 o 1500€, que pueden deberse a los diferentes impuestos internos... pero solo en Espana Seat promociona el Ateca con 4000€... Estaría bueno saber por qué.

Y para mis lectores espanoles, podréis ver en el configurador que ese descuento no tiene nada que ver con el PIVE ni nada de eso. Pareciera ser una oferta de lanzamiento de Seat.

En fin... preguntaré en el concesionario si saben de algún descuento en Austria...
