Tuve la oportunidad de estar en la cancha de River en Sept. de 1997 para el Último Concierto, el show final de Soda, junto a otras 60000 personas, justo luego de que la banda anunciara su separación. Nunca jamás me olvidaré de ese momento.
I had the chance to be at River Plate stadium in Buenos Aires in 1997 for the real "final" show, with another 60000 people, just after the band announced their separation. I'll never ever forget that experience. I still have with me the ticket of the entrance.
Solamente quería compartir con ustedes la noticia de la muerte de Cerati. Hoy me siento como si una parte de mi también se hubiera muerto. Como muchos fans de Soda, siempre tuve la ilusión de que algún día se volverían a juntar definitivamente, incluso cuando anunciaron su gira "Me verás volver" en 2007, 10 años después de separarse... y ahora sabemos que como con The Beatles y John, esto ya no podrá pasar, por lo menos no en esta vida.
I just wanted to share with you the news from Cerati's dead; I feel like a big part of me has also passed away. As many fans of Soda Stereo, I always had the illusion of seeing the band together again, even like in 2007 when they met again for the one-off final tour called "Me verás volver" (You'll see me coming back), and now like with The Beatles and John, we know that this wish will never happen, at least not in this life.
Si nunca escuchaste hablar de Soda Stereo porque sos muy jóven, o porque vivías en España (tal vez donde menos se conoció a Soda), te invito a que te pases unos minutos mirando algo por youtube y escuchando alguna de sus canciones, no te vas a arrepentir.

Gustavo Cerati, gracias por tanta música, por tan buenos momentos. Mi juventud se va con vos. Estoy seguro que en algún lugar allá arriba te vas a encontrar con mi amigo Rodrigo, grandísimo fan de Soda, porque gracias a él yo conocí tu música y lo perdí cuando todavía teníamos 18 años justo antes de que Soda se separara...
Gustavo Cerati, thanks for so much music, so many good moments. My youth goes with you... I'm sure that you'll meet my friend Rodrigo up there, he was the first fan of Soda, my friend who introduced me to your music, my friend that I've lost when we where 18, just before Soda separation...
